It’s difficult to remember life before Cardiff for Ajay. Moving to the UK from Kerala in India at just 8 years old, he’s been here ever since. A talented student, he completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at Cardiff University before seamlessly transitioning into the professional world by joining Bipsync through the Quality Assurance (QA) graduate scheme, keeping the same surroundings while marking the dawn of an exciting new chapter in his life.
Crossing paths and combining ambitions
Ajay’s career path first coincided with Bipsync’s trajectory during a university Careers Fair – an encounter that has shaped his professional journey so far. Encouraged by positive reviews from acquaintances he already knew worked at the company, Ajay made the leap, a decision he looks back on with gratitude.
That was three and a half years ago, and since then his voyage with Bipsync has been characterized by growth and a shared passion for innovation.
A day in the life
“Everyday is a bit different which keeps the job exciting,” – a common observation among the happy crew who’ve followed a similar path to Ajay working in QA. From addressing tickets across different facets of the Bipsync web app to mentoring new team members, his role is a dynamic and multifaceted one.
He’s contributing to the development of the Bipsync product set too; currently engaged in developing automation tests for the admin app – a project critical to the platforms’ user experience.
All his days at Bipsync added together tell a story of strong progress punctuated by personal milestones. From achieving certification as an ISTQB professional to spearheading automation projects, Ajay’s dedication and commitment to growth shine through, setting an example for excellence within the organization that others draw upon.
The balancing act: Work, life, and everything in between
Outside of work, Ajay is “an avid cricket enthusiast, eagerly following every tournament.” He also enjoys playing badminton with friends, especially when he beats them! It’s great for keeping fit, and this year he’s made it a goal to get back to the gym more often so he can work on his gains.
Ajay is also a keen traveler, having embarked on numerous weekend mini-adventures to cities across Europe including Rome, Paris, and Barcelona. More of these types of trips are definitely on the horizon.
A most inspiring work environment
Ajay appreciates the transparency and approachability aspects within the Bipsync working culture. “No matter if they are in different teams, if I ask anyone for any sort of help, everyone is willing to lend a helping hand.” The stand-out feature is the collective passion for enhancing Bipsync’s RMS, which is a source of inspiration and is a challenge that Ajay finds exciting.
As for favorite Bipsync moments, he has a few but Bipmas takes the cake. “Bipmas is a great way to end the year as well, with all of us coming together and celebrating how well Bipsync has grown throughout the past 12 months and reflecting on what improvements to make for the year ahead.”
Looking ahead
The future holds boundless possibilities for Ajay. Collaborating with the QA team on innovative testing methodologies promises to enhance product performance, a challenge he embraces enthusiastically. Professionally, he sees a journey of continuous learning and evolution, while personally, he endeavors to work on his game and reignite his passion for fitness.
