Meet Max, whose whole outlook has balance is at its heart – prioritizing his career while also grasping opportunities to take time out; exploring the countries of the world while grounding himself in New York life; seeking personal sporting success while being part of a great team.
A Small Town Start
Max grew up in Roanoke, Indiana – a small town where knowing everyone’s name is just part of the charm. His early years were filled with sports, especially soccer. “I grew up playing most sports but focused on soccer and even participated in a brief national team trial which I fell short of.” This experience didn’t dampen his spirit. Instead, it led him to explore his other passion of traveling. If you ask him about his favorite country, Zambia is the clear winner. “Having been to 43 countries and counting now, I think it is the most rewarding and educational way to spend my time.”
Learning Abroad – Gaining a Pandemic Handicap
Max attended Syracuse University in upstate New York, majoring in Political Science and minoring in the School of Information Studies (iSchool). His time there included an enriching study abroad experience in Australia, which unfortunately was cut short by the pandemic. This setback, however, led to a memorable quarantine period in Wrightsville Beach, where free time in the open air inspired him to pick up golf, and achieve an impressive 6.8 handicap.
A Day in the Life
“I have always enjoyed working with growing companies because it allows you to wear different hats and have a measurable impact on a company.” Since joining the company three years ago, Max has thrived at Bipsync and says his days are varied and dynamic. His roles involve prospecting, reaching out to clients, discussing strategies, and providing platform demos. The collaborative culture at Bipsync is something he appreciates, and that ensures efficiency and effectiveness in achieving his goals.
Work-Life Balance
Maintaining a healthy work-life balance is crucial for Max, and Bipsync is set up to help employees like him do just that. He’s totally committed to always completing work within given time frames, while not letting that mean he’s ever unavailable for team members and clients, or being burnt out by workload demands. It’s a two-way street that fosters a community of trust, enabling productivity without compromising personal well-being.

The culture at Bipsync is one of Max’s favorite aspects of the company. The collaborative spirit and the opportunity to learn from diverse team members make for a stimulating work environment. But, truth be told, what he really loves about being part of the team are the monthly battles among colleagues to become the next champion belt holder. No, it’s not a physical brawl, but a series of friendly competitions like bowling, axe-throwing, cornhole, and mini-golf – to name a few! “When I first joined, watching my colleagues fight for the title of the belt was hilarious and a standout memory. I’m still seeking my first win!”
Lessons and Reflections
Throughout his career, Max has learned the value of being open to new ideas and learning from anyone, anywhere. His journey is a testament to the power of adaptability, continuous learning, and the pursuit of passions both in and out of the workplace. Max continues to embrace new challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm and dedication.
