Introducing Universal Search
We’re making Bipsync data searches smarter, faster, and easier than ever
While we’re continuously adding new and exciting features, add-ins, and integrations to help our community get the most out of Bipsync, our latest update promises to be a particular game-changer.
With Universal Search, every piece of data from keywords and entity tags to contacts, files, tasks, events, and comments, will be more easily searchable within Bipsync. This is made possible, not to mention effortless, by the introduction of a brand new expanded UI, which allows users to dig deep into their data with new, detailed search parameters that go far beyond just notes and files.
We’re excited to begin rolling this out in the coming weeks for a number of clients. If you’re interested in the latest update, please get in touch with our Customer Success team at hello@bipsync.com.
Intuitive searches across the entire Bipsync ecosystem
With the new and improved UI, we’ve changed the search bar in the top left of the Bipsync platform to a ‘Go To’ interface which will take users straight to the dashboard of any entity tag they’re looking for, be it a Company, Fund, Fund Manager, Contact, or specific Note Type (e.g. “Call / Meeting” or “ESG Scorecard”), for example. To put it simply, everything you could possibly need in Bipsync RMS is now closer to hand.
The Search itself will now be accessible from a tab in the left-hand navigation bar directly underneath “Home.” Simply click the bar and you’ll see the expanded search interface, where you can filter your searches and view your findings.
Universal Search provides better search results across more contexts than previously possible. You can now search instantly across all content within Bipsync, such as:
- Categories/Entities (e.g. Companies, Funds, Managers)
- Projects (e.g. Deal Pipeline, Ideas Pipeline)
- Contacts
- Labels (Personal or Shared)
- Tasks
- Events
- Comments
- And any other custom objects that may have been configured

Speaking of filters, the Universal Search update has the ability to filter searches by a host of configurable fields that have been created for clients’ individual installation as well as common properties like “Author,” “Date Created,” or “Last Updated,” for example.
This function also allows users to change the Sort order of the results and how they’re displayed (e.g. “Most Relevant” or “Recently Updated”), save searches for future use, and share those saved searches across the user base so everyone can benefit from commonly configured searches.
Combined, the full suite of features introduced with Universal Search makes for significant improvements to user experience and simple, easy, and effective research gathering, both of which contribute to better and faster productivity and performance for our user community.
This new user interface sets the foundation for future enhancements that are already in development. There’s more to come so watch this space for new feature updates and improvements!
