The Bipsync Research Management System RMS has been updated to release 90, with a number of improvements and useful new features, including:

  • Improved shared labels. In the very first version of Bipsync, labels were the only way to tag notes, which meant we used a relatively complex system for sharing labels. But over time, as we introduced companies, industries, contacts, ideas, and other ways to tag notes, we simplified sharing across the RMS. In this release we’ve updated label sharing to behave consistently with the other simpler sharing systems in Bipsync. You can now easily share a label with individual users, groups, or a mix of the two. Shared labels now appear automatically for the recipient, who can then simply choose to hide any they don’t want to see in their label interface.
  • Print multiple notes. While you’ve always been able to print a single note or save it to PDF, with this new release you can now also easily print multiple notes. From version 90, if you select multiple notes in the middle notes list (click and drag, or shift+click), you now have the option to Save As > PDF, which will save all the selected notes into a single PDF that you can easily download and print.

  • Share with separate teams. In some situations, you may have third parties that you need to share specific research or files with, without giving them access to any other data or information in your RMS. To support this need, Bipsync now enables specific users to share notes with a totally separate team, which effectively allows you to firewall-off a third party team to only share the exact notes with them that you want them to see.

This release also includes improved support for Japanese notes, including search support, and a number of other improvements and fixes.

Finally, for those that wish to migrate notes from OneNote into Bipsync, the OneNote Notes Import has now been enabled across all Bipsync installations by default, under Settings > Import.

As usual, if you have any questions on this release get in touch with your feedback and suggestions.
