Release 187 of the Bipsync Research Management System RMS is now available. The latest version of Bipsync adds a new feature to the Mail Classifier along with a few other improvements and bug fixes.
Mail Classifier: Import unmatched email
We introduced our Mail Classifier feature back in release 164, and detailed its features in this article. It’s been instrumental in allowing our clients to effortlessly import their email in to Bipsync, and in this release we’ve added a new capability to deal with less well-organised email.
Prior to this release, mail would only be imported if it matched a rule which filtered based on an attribute such as the sender’s email address, or some text within the subject line. This meant that mail which was difficult to classify could not be brought in to Bipsync.
To address this, in this release we’ve added a special new rule which can be designated as a rule to invoke in the event that no other rules match:

This rule can be employed to ensure that no mail is ignored: everything that lands in an inbox is immediately imported into the RMS.
Improvements and Bug Fixes
- Note associations are now maintained when records are moved from one workflow pipeline to another.
- Fixed an issue where newly created tasks could sometimes not appear when the app was reloaded.
- Fixed an issue which caused the user’s default locking settings to be ignored.
As usual, please contact us with any questions about this Bipsync Research Management System RMS release, or if you have any feedback or suggestions about the Bipsync platform.
